Cecil's Tavern, with the charm of an old English Pub, is the perfect place to kick back, play some pool, throw some darts, and listen to the local Houston talent. They have a pretty jukebox, as well. On Thursday nights, three single malt scotches are only $13.00. Be advised, it's a favorite with the locals, who play pool. You might have to wait a while for a table.

Originally created as a club for women, it's an easy going neighborhood bar that caters to a everyone. Their policy, "No discrimination!" It's a very welcoming place; they love everybody! Pool, darts, open mike, karoake, and live music with a full menu are offered at this friendly bar. Host to many fundraisers ( AIDS and Breast Cancer), and charity organizations. Part of the four-in-one women's bar complex on the Westheimer curve that includes Chances, Chi Chi Martini Bar, the G-Spot Dance Club, and the New Barn Saloon. The New Barn was named winner of best Country & Western Lesbian Bar, in Outsmart Magazine. Chances is open from 2:00pm to 2:00am, but the others vary.

Austin’s legendary live-music venue has expanded into the Bayou City. Of course, bigger city, bigger Club. Alternative, Rock, Blues, Country, Folk & Bluegrass, Swing. There is plenty of room to dance, to some awesome Texas acts, but the recorded music is cool, too! Most nights they have a special, of some sort, in the offering.
